WWE NXT Star Poised For Return After Months-Long Absence
An absentee NXT star is set for their WWE return soon.
Recently, speculations about Jaida Parker’s absence from the development brand’s TV shows made the rounds online.
While the Stamford promotion did not directly address the issue, fans will find relief knowing that the 26-year-old is poised to return to taping soon.
NXT has lately seen several top stars, including Je’Von Evans, Jordynne Grace, and Trick Williams, being bumped up to the main roster, leaving a void behind to be filled.
Parker is a sensation herself, having put in the tough work inside the squared circle regularly.
She last competed during the October 7 edition of NXT Showdown in a #1 Contendership match to determine the challenger for the Women’s Championship.
In March 2025, she unsuccessfully challenged then-NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
Jaida Parker’s return comes following the events of New Year’s Evil, where Jacy Jayne successfully defended the women’s title against Kendal Grey. During the show, the NXT Women’s North American Championship changed hands when Izzi Dame defeated Thea Hail.
Multiple Matches Announced For Upcoming WWE NXT Taping
New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2026, got as chaotic as it could, putting General Manager Ava on the spot with her decisions.
Nevertheless, as the taping progressed, future bouts took shape as well.
On January 13, the recent addition to the main roster, Joe Hendry, will face Dion Lennox of Darkstate in a No Disqualification match.
The Men’s Speed Championship will also be defended when Jasper Troy puts his title on the line against Tavion Heights. Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan will continue their current rivalry in a singles match.
Staks will defend his TNA International Championship against newbie Shiloh Hill.
Also, last week, NXT Champion Oba Femi shockingly vacated his title as he is reported to be main roster-bound. Fans can expect a major announcement about it from Ava.
After being vacated by @Obaofwwe, @avawwe_ will address the future of the NXT Championship THIS TUESDAY on #WWENXT!
