There will be a WWE NXT Premium Live Event in December 2022 and there might be a new name for that show.

Earlier in the week, WWE had trademarked the name NXT Deadline. It wasn’t known what it was for, but it was expected to be the name of a new NXT show.

It has been reported by Fightful Select that WWE NXT is expected to run a Premium Live Event on Saturday, December 10th. It is rumored that the show will be using the Deadline name that WWE trademarked recently although that hasn’t been confirmed.

What’s interesting about the December 10th date is that ROH Final Battle is set to take place that day. ROH is owned and operated by AEW’s Tony Khan. Final Battle will run in the afternoon. The start time of the NXT PLE is unknown at this time, but it could be run in the evening. WWE also ran the last NXT PLE called Worlds Collide in the afternoon on September 4th, which was on the same day as AEW All Out later that evening.

The Fightful report also noted that the plan is to run the December PLE from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando like most NXT shows over the last year. The event is expected to be officially announced during NXT Halloween Havoc this Saturday. The next brand is run by WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels.

The Saturday, December 10th NXT Premium Live Event is likely going to be the last WWE PLE of 2022 since there is no PLE event in between Survivor Series and Royal Rumble 2023. It was recently reported that WWE canceled the Day 1 PLE that was going to take place on New Year’s Day 2023.

The NXT brand presents Halloween Havoc this Saturday, October 22nd with the following lineup.

* NXT Championship Match: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. JD McDonagh

* Ladder Match For the Vacant NXT North American Championship: Carmelo Hayes vs. Oro Mensah vs. Wes Lee vs. Von Wagner vs. Nathan Frazer

* NXT Women’s Championship: Mandy Rose (c) vs. Alba Fyre

* Weapons Wild Match: Cora Jade vs. Roxanne Perez

* Ambulance Match: Julius Creed vs. Damon Kemp (If Julius loses, Brutus Creed will have to leave NXT)

* Apollo Crews vs. Grayson Waller – Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal Match

Shotzi and Quincy Elliott will be the hosts of the show.

You can watch Halloween Havoc on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8 ET/5 PT streaming on Peacock in the US and WWE Network everywhere else.

We will have a preview of Halloween Havoc on TJRWrestling on Friday and then a live review on Saturday night.
