WWE NXT’s CW Network Premiere Draws Impressive Rating

NXT Championship

WWE NXT has arrived on the CW Network.

On October 1st, NXT finally debuted on the CW Network with a huge show in Chicago.

The show opened with the Women’s Title match between Giulia and Roxanne Perez. After a tune-up against Chelsea Green, Giulia was firing on all cylinders and seemed to be on the brink of victory before Cora Jade made a shocking return to cost her the match and again align with Perez.

Jade had been out of action since suffering a torn ACL in January.

Meanwhile, in the main event, Trick Williams regained the NXT Championship with a win over Ethan Page as CM Punk counted the pinfall.

Page had looked to taunt Punk by hitting Williams with a Go 2 Sleep but the challenger kicked out. Page attempted the Ego’s Edge but Williams escaped before hitting his Trick Kick to become a two-time NXT Champion.

NXT Pulls In The Viewers

As noted by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the episode averaged 895,000 viewers which was a 44.4% increase from the previous week when the show aired on the USA Network for the final time.

The figure was the highest rating since October 10th, 2023 when the show was stacked with several main roster stars for a head-to-head with AEW Dynamite.

The episode drew a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo, up 36.8% from September 24th.
