WWE NXT Announces Huge Championship Match for New Year’s Evil

WWE NXT Womens North American Title

A new NXT Women’s North American Champion was crowned last week on the black and silver brand after Blake Monroe lost the title under controversial circumstances.

Monroe was defending her title against Thea Hail after she made her tap out in the middle of the ring a week prior, and Hail went a step further this time.

She pinned Monroe for the title after hitting her with a springboard senton and came out to the ring tonight to address the NXT Universe following her controversial win last week.

Thea Hail to defend her title at NXT New Year’s Evil

She was taking in her moment in front of a packed crowd and thanked the fans and her mentors as the arena was surrounded with ‘You deserve it’ chants, before she was interrupted by the former Women’s North American Champion.

Moroe stated that Thea’s win was a fluke and stated that she wanted her title back from Hail, but she refused to hand the belt over. She asked for a rematch for the belt and Thea Hail agreed to defend the title on New Year’s Evil next month, before Monroe attacked her in the ring and had to be separated by referees.
