WWE Not Happy With Ric Flair’s Hall Of Fame Speech?

Ric Flair

The WWE Hall of Fame took place on Friday night before WrestleMania 39 but a new report suggests that not everyone was happy with what Ric Flair had to say.

The WWE Hall of Fame is one of the most prestigious nights in the wrestling calendar as the industry’s biggest company pays tribute to the great and the good who have stepped through the ropes in the name of sports and entertainment.

The Class of 2023 was tinged with WCW as Stacy Keibler, The Great Muta, and Rey Mysterio were all inducted alongside long-time WWE official Tim White, who received the Warrior Award, and comedian Andy Kaufman, who was inducted into the Celebrity wing.

As well as the inductees, many WWE fans look forward to seeing who gets the job of inducting the stars with Ric Flair given the job of welcoming his old rival and Japanese legend, The Great Muta into the Hall of Fame. Flair’s speech garnered attention online for the wrong reasons as many felt The Nature Boy rambled more about himself than The Great Muta.

Fightful Select has reported that Ric Flair’s speech was apparently not well received by WWE, and that was in contrast with the one given by former WCW star Konnan who had the honour of inducting his close friend Rey Mysterio.

Mick Foley and Torrie Wilson were on hand to induct Stacy Keibler, Jimmy Hart inducted Andy Kaufman – with Jerry Lawler shown in a pre-recorded clip to pay his own tribute to Kaufman as he continues to recover from a stroke, and Ron Simmons and JBL were on hand to give the Warrior Award to the family of the late Tim White.
