WWE Has Not Approached Popular Star Over New Deal
There could be as little as a couple of months on one popular star’s WWE deal, but the company is yet to make an offer to stay.
In the days after WrestleMania 41, Karrion Kross vented his frustration at life in WWE after missing out on a match at the event. The former NXT Champion only made a cameo during the match between AJ Styles and Logan Paul on night two, and he was far from happy about it.
Kross recalled being told to be a good soldier by Goldberg, but said that advice only got him released and overlooked. The star closed by telling the “guy with the suit and tie” to go f*ck themselves.
This led to a huge swell in support for the star, but so far this has not translated to any success in the ring or much in the way of TV time. WWE could well have an ulterior motive for ignoring Kross, as it’s believed his current contract could be nearing its end.
And it doesn’t seem WWE is in a hurry to do anything about it.
Karrion Kross Leaving WWE?
Fightful Select has reported that there has been little progress in a new contract for Karrion Kross. WWE is believed not to have even approached Kross about a new deal despite suggestions his contract expires sometime this summer.
Typically, WWE has notified talent within a month or so of their deals expiring that they won’t be getting renewed. There is believed to still be a few months left on Kross’ current deal, but WWE have been in cutting mode recently. R-Truth revealed his contract wasn’t being extended to the shock of almost everyone. That was followed by Carlito and Sarah Logan also confirming that their time in WWE was coming to an end.
