WWE Has No Plans For Major Star Despite Heavy Speculation

Triple H WWE

On-screen WWE talents were ordered not to mention one former World Champion.

Shortly before the 2024 Royal Rumble, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The lawsuit contained allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking, and although he wasn’t named directly, Lesnar was also implicated. It was reported that the “former UFC Champion and WWE Superstar” named in the filing was Lesnar.

The star had been due to return to action at the Rumble but those plans were dropped, as were all other creative plans. However, there have been suggestions that the company’s stance may now have changed.

According to a recent report, WWE has been in talks with Brock Lesnar regarding a comeback.

I can’t tell you definitely yes but my inside people in WWE have told me they’re talking. That’s the most I know.

WWE Has No Plans For Brock Lesnar

Despite that speculation, a further report from Fightful Select cited one source who claimed “There are no creative plans in place for Lesnar, and if conversations have occurred, we’ve not been briefed on that.”

The report added that Lesnar is among a couple of names that were not to be mentioned on television. As a result, the star has not been featured in video packages or been referenced in promos or on commentary if at all possible. While Cody Rhodes did reference Lesnar via a nickname on Raw, those close to the World Champion have said they’re not aware of his status changing.

A source in creative added that there haven’t been any updates on Lesnar in months, and they don’t expect him to be brought back while there’s an ongoing federal investigation.
