WWE News: Updated Card for Money in the Bank 2017
Last night’s episode of SmackDown Live furthered some ongoing stories while making matches official for the brand’s upcoming Money in the Bank PPV. Most notably, there will be the first women’s Money in the Bank ladder match in company history. You can check out the full card below:
WWE Championship: Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton
Money in the Bank Ladder Match: AJ Styles vs. Baron Corbin vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Smackdown Tag Team Titles: The Usos vs. The New Day
Money in the Bank Women’s Ladder Match: Natalya vs. Carmella vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Tamina
If I had to guess, I assume a few smaller matches will be made to round out the card, but as of right now all of the big names are on the show.
Rob’s Hot-Take:
I still think that the men’s ladder match has some of the biggest star power ever for a Money in the Bank bout, and now I am eagerly anticipating the women making their mark in the traditional contest.
Orton’s promo last night discussing his family and how winning is his only option at the PPV actually got me slightly more invested in the match, but it’s just hard to care still because I personally don’t believe Jinder Mahal is a great wrestler. He’s okay, but honestly, the live crowd at Backlash (which I attended) was more interested in watching security kick someone out of the building than the actual WWE Championship title defense; we only got into it when you started to seem that the unthinkable was going to happen. As for the Tag Team Championship match, I have no interesting comment on that other than I hope that even if The New Day win, that they don’t hold the belt for 17 years towering over the entire division.

Overall, it should be a physical and highly entertaining show. Watch WWE Money in the Bank on the WWE Network on Sunday, June 18th.
