WWE News: Sasha Banks Returning to the Ring, Bayley Comments on Wrestlemania Behavior

It looks like Sasha Banks will be returning very soon from the reported tailbone and hip injuries she suffered at Hell in a Cell on October 6th. PWInsider is reporting that Banks is scheduled to return to action this Friday on Smackdown as well as for her house show appearances this weekend.

Banks was pulled from last weekend’s scheduled appearances as well as her match against Becky Lynch, which was supposed to take place on Monday’s Raw. The WWE confirmed at that time that Banks was suffering from injuries she sustained at Hell in a Cell, but gave no further details.

Banks will be joining her partner and best friend Bayley on Smackdown, who recently spoke on the SKY Sports Lockup Podcast about the reports of herself and Banks throwing a “tantrum” in the locker room at Wrestlemania 35.

“We read all the stupid rumors and it’s ridiculous. There’s no proof of it and it’s people just spreading these rumors because they want to talk, they want something to start up. We literally watched the main event in person by the hard cam and enjoyed the women stealing the show. We’re professionals and we love this more than anyone can imagine, more than anyone else in that locker room.”

Matt’s Musings: I am happy to hear that whatever was keeping Sasha Banks out of the ring was not too serious, and that she will be returning to action this week. As for Bayley’s comments on their behavior at Wrestlemania this past April, I hope that Bayley is telling the truth about the rumors being untrue. Whatever did occur, hopefully it is all in the past now and both Bayley and Banks can continue having successful careers.
