WWE News On Matches That May Be Added to WWE TLC

TJR Wrestling

The WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV is scheduled to take place this Sunday at 7pmET. As of this writing, there are only seven matches announced for the show, with none of the singles titles being defended at this time. The currently scheduled card for the show is the following as noted in John Canton’s Raw review earlier this week.

Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Match: Roman Reigns vs. Baron Corbin

Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz – This is not for Wyatt’s WWE Universal Title

Tables, Ladders and Chairs (TLC) Match for the Women’s Tag Team Titles: The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch

Tables Match: Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley

Smackdown Tag Team Titles: The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Big E (c) vs. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder)

Raw Tag Team Titles: The Viking Raiders (c) vs. TBA

Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy

Despite TLC only being two days away as of this writing, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that as many as three more matches may be announced.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley is expected to defend her title against Lacey Evans, who she has been feuding with in the last few weeks on TV.

Also according to Meltzer, there were plans to start an angle between Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Braun Strowman this past Friday on Smackdown. Strowman, however, was not medically cleared to compete due to a hip injury, preventing this from happening. It is unknown at this time if they will shoot the angle tonight on Smackdown leading to a match at TLC this Sunday.

There are plans for AJ Styles and Randy Orton to continue their feud this Sunday at TLC, but once again no match has been announced yet.

A match between Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens, who Rollins viciously attacked this past Monday on Raw is not planned to take place this Sunday, with it being held off to a later date. Owens did a stretcher job on Raw, so that could be used to explain why there is no match.

Regarding the Viking Raiders open challenge, it is believed that they will face Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, who are expected to answer the “open challenge” issued by the champions.

For updates on the card, check out John Canton’s Smackdown review tonight on TJRWrestling and the preview team will have some predictions for TLC on Saturday.

Matt’s Musings: WWE TLC has seemed like a mostly forgotten PPV this year, with WWE waiting to the last minute to announce most of the matches. Hopefully, the roster can overcome this lack of build for the event and put on a fun and entertaining show.
