WWE News: New Contracts Offered to Retribution Faction Members, More Details on WWE Contracts
As reported by Fightful Select, new contracts were offered to members of RETRIBUTION, except for leader Mustafa Ali. That would mean these contracts would be for T-Bar (Dominik Dijakovic), Mace (Dio Maddin), Slapjack (Shane Thorne) and Reckoning (Mia Yim).
The contracts were reported to be for three years at $250,000 per year. However, in comparison to other deals offered within the past few years, they are considered “significantly” low. It does come as a surprise with WWE generating a record high in revenue last year while making a bunch of cuts back in April of 2020.
As for renegotiating current contracts, many WWE superstars are holding off from signing a new deal as leverage especially with the possibility of being pursued by other companies.
It was also reported last week by Fightful Select that several WWE superstars rejected deals presented to them, believing they were “lowball” offers. Former United States Champion Richocet is one notable superstar who has not renewed his contract, which is set to expire within the next 12 months. No specific date was given. Interestingly, the Wrestling Observer Radio reports that some of the recent main roster call-ups are still working on the same NXT salary and will continue to until live events resume again.
