WWE News: Elias Will Not Compete in King of the Ring Tournament Match Tonight Due to Injury

Elias was supposed to face Chad Gable in the King of the Ring tournament semifinals tonight on Smackdown, but that’s not going to happen now due to an injury. The injury was reported by WWE moments ago and we are less than four aways from Smackdown in New York City.

Due to an injury, Elias will not compete in his scheduled King of the Ring semifinal match against Chad Gable.

It was reported by PWInsider that Elias is dealing with an ankle injury and he is not cleared to wrestle tonight, so it’s legit. I hope it’s not too serious and he’s back wrestling soon because Elias has done in his matches of late.

Does this mean he will be replaced by Ali, who Elias beat last week on Smackdown? We don’t know right now.
