WWE Network To Close In The UK

Triple H WWE

The WWE Network will soon be no more.

On November 21st, it was announced by Netflix that Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and all Premium Live Events will air on the platform from January 2025.

The news came after it was revealed in January that Monday Night Raw would be moving to Netflix on January 6th, 2025. The deal, which could be worth a staggering $500 million per year will see the company’s flagship show leave broadcast television in the United States for the first time since its debut in 1993.

The announcement posed as many questions as it answered with UK fans wondering what it meant for the WWE Network, and now those fans have an answer.

WWE Network Shutting Down

Following the announcement on social media, an email was sent to Network subscribers in the UK, confirming the service would “no longer be available” from January 1st, 2025. There are still few details about what “select programming” means in terms of archive content.

On Jan‍uary 1, 2025, WWE Network will no longer be available in your area. After Ja‍nuary 1, Netflix will be the new exclusive home of WWE.

Netflix will bring WWE’s electrifying content all to one place, including weekly shows, Mon‍day Night RAW, SmackDown and NXT, PLUS Premium Live Events (PLEs) such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and SummerSlam.

Many of WWE’s top moments, along with historic PLEs and select programming, will be available on Netflix beginning Jan‍uary 1.

The premiere live episode of Mon‍day Night RAW on Netflix airing on Jan‍uary 6 will feature some of the biggest names in WWE such as John Cena, Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Bianca Belair, in addition to many other Superstars and guests including Travis Scott.

If you are already a Netflix subscriber, you’re all set. If you are not a Netflix subscriber, you will need to subscribe so you don’t miss a moment. We can’t wait for you to experience WWE on Netflix this Jan‍uary.

Sincerely,

WWE Network Support

The Network has been the home of all WWE content in the UK since January 2015. At present, Raw and SmackDown air live on TNT Sports before later being added to the streaming service.

Although WWE moved to Peacock in the United States in 2021, the Network remained intact for international fans. There is no word on how the latest announcement will affect fans outside of the UK.
