Why WWE Needs AJ Lee Back Now More Than Ever
The only question fans are asking after the main event of Clash in Paris is whether AJ Lee is returning to WWE.
The WWE Universe witnessed a shocking end to the Fatal Four-Way. Becky Lynch entered the ring as a masked individual and hit CM Punk with a Low Blow. The interference allowed Seth Rollins to pick up the win by hitting The Best in the World with a Stomp.
Fans will agree that The Man’s interference was not needed in the match unless WWE plans to create an angle involving Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk. The only logical conclusion is that the global juggernaut is bringing back AJ Lee to the ring, and The Man stopping Punk’s win at Clash in Paris is the way to plug Lee into the story.
Is AJ Lee needed back in WWE?
At this very moment, the women’s roster seems to need more challengers for the champions. Otherwise, the champions, especially the Women’s Intercontinental and Women’s United States Championships, haven’t been defended or represented as much as it should have been.
While Triple H handed the Women’s IC Championship to The Man to elevate its value, it still needs worthy challengers with proper buildups to have proper representation.
AJ Lee is a huge name in the industry, even if she has not wrestled since 2015. She is a former Divas Champion, a decorated veteran, and a worthy challenger for any championship on the women’s roster.
Bringing her back will not only pave the path for a blockbuster rivalry between Becky Lynch and her but it will also enable WWE to further the feud between Seth Rollins and CM Punk without making the story stale.

While some may argue that AJ Lee does not need to return to the ring, CM Punk and Big E dropped massive hints of her return. In fact, reports have surfaced that claim pitches involving Lee have been met with more traction as opposed to being dismissed immediately on earlier occasions.
WWE often works with decorated veterans to elevate the value of a younger superstar or a championship, and that is exactly what the global juggernaut seems to be planning for AJ Lee, Becky Lynch, and the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
