WWE Holding Multiple Double Tapings In December

Triple H WWE

There will be multiple episodes of WWE television in December that will be double tapings for the fans in attendance.

The November 11th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was the first of two shows for the fans in attendance in Grand Rapids, Michigan. That’s because WWE management wanted to give talent and staff a break after they had performed in Saudi Arabia the week earlier along with a European tour that followed the following week.

There is also a double taping of WWE Smackdown in Salt Lake City on November 22nd because the big American Thanksgiving holiday is on November 28th. By taping two episodes that night, the talent will have Thanksgiving off rather than having to fly out that day so they can make it to Smackdown.

It’s an example of the new regime led by WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque that is more family-friendly for the talent because they don’t have to work as many dates as they did in the past when Vince McMahon was calling the shots.

WWE Taping Raw And Smackdown Episodes In December Before Christmas

There will be double tapings in December, according to a report from PWInsider.

Friday Night Smackdown in Hartford, CT at the XL Center will air that week’s December 13th episode and also tape the December 20th episode of Smackdown.

Monday Night Raw in Boston, MA at the TDBank Garden will air that week’s December 16th episode and also tape the December 23rd episode of Raw.

Those double tapings will give the WWE roster some time off during the busy holiday season to spend time with their families.

There are some years when WWE runs “Best Of” episodes of Raw and/or Smackdown, but it doesn’t appear to be the case this year looking at the WWE calendar on their website. The final Smackdown of 2024 will be in Tampa on December 27th while the final Raw will be on December 30th in Houston.

That report from PWInsider made no mention of the NXT brand, but it’s certainly possible that WWE could tape two episodes of that show as well.
