WWE Moves Omos & MVP To Smackdown

Omos standing with MVP on WWE SmackDown

There has been a WWE roster move with Omos & MVP changing brands following their recent appearance on Smackdown.

It has been reported by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson that Omos & MVP will be appearing on Smackdown regularly going forward. It is expected that Braun Strowman vs. Omos will be added to the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 5th.

The duo of Omos & MVP appeared at ringside during Braun Strowman’s squash match victory on the October 14th edition of Smackdown. Strowman dared Omos to come into the ring to fight him, but MVP and Omos stood behind the barricade while MVP did a brief promo.

Montel Vontavious Porter is a two-time former WWE United States Champion and he also held the Tag Team Titles with Matt Hardy earlier in his career. MVP became a part-time wrestler/manager when he came back to WWE in 2020 and was with Lashley when he won the WWE Title. MVP turned on Lashley to become a manager for Omos on the Raw after WrestleMania 38 in April 2022.

Omos has been part of the Raw roster for the majority of his WWE main roster career. In 2021, he was aligned with AJ Styles and the two men would go on to hold the Raw Tag Team Titles together. Earlier in 2022, Omos feuded with Bobby Lashley after MVP turned on his former friend Lashley, who became a babyface.

If Strowman vs. Omos takes place at Crown Jewel as expected, it would be a first-time-ever matchup between two of the biggest men in WWE since Strowman is nearly 7 feet tall while Omos is listed as listed at 7’3″ on WWE’s website. It would be a matchup between two giants.
