Major WWE Mistake On SmackDown May Have Gone Unnoticed

WWE Creative, led by Triple H, appears to have made a significant mistake on SmackDown.

After it was announced that the WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton would choose her opponent for Evolution, Tiffy Time took to the ring to reveal that she had picked Hall of Famer Trish Stratus. The two teamed up earlier this year at Elimination Chamber in Toronto to defeat Nia Jax and Candice LeRae.

Meanwhile, they were joined in the squared circle last night by the recently crowned Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill. The Storm informed them that it did not matter to her whether she faced Stratton or Stratus at SummerSlam.

After the segment, the WWE Hall of Famer and Cargill had another interaction backstage, where the Queen of the Ring told the seven-time Women’s Champion that although she was happy for her for having a title match at Evolution, she would see her at SummerSlam if she wins.

While reviewing SmackDown on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge’s BroDown, former WWE head writer Vince Russo claimed the backstage segment was clearly shot before the show and was out of sequence after the two superstars already had their in-ring interaction.

Obviously, they shot this before the show because they just had the in ring and Jade goes to Trish. Oh, so you just became the number one. Like you you could tell it was out of sequence.

The Ex-WWE Writer Pointed Out Another Problem

After Jade Cargill’s interaction with Trish Stratus backstage, she was attacked by Naomi, who used her custom Money in the Bank briefcase to take her rival down.

On the same episode of BroDown, former WWE head writer Vince Russo slammed Creative for the segment, describing it as “high school stuff.”

But that wasn’t even the problem with this. Then Naomi comes and gives her this weak case shot that Jade Cargill goes down like a ton of bricks selling the back of her head. Naomi’s doing the fake laugh. And I’m like, bro, this is high school stuff, man.

With Trish Stratus will challenge Tiffany Stratton at Evolution, Cargill will finally get her chance to go one-on-one with Naomi on the all-women premium live event.
