WWE Sends Message To The Rock Amid 10-Month Absence

Triple H The Rock Nick Khan WWE

The Rock made his last WWE appearance 10 months ago.

He showed up at Elimination Chamber in March 2025, where the fans saw John Cena sell his soul to him. He was supposed to play a key role in the John Cena-Cody Rhodes rivalry, but the plans never materialized.

The Brahma Bull recently got a Golden Globe nomination for Best Male Actor for his performance in The Smashing Machine Movie. The nomination is in the Motion Picture Drama category for his portrayal of UFC legend Mark Kerr.

Ahead of this week’s Monday Night RAW episode, WWE congratulated The Great One on its official website. WWE wrote:

Legendary WWE Superstar and current TKO board member Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in The Smashing Machine.

Johnson’s nomination came in the Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture Drama category for his portrayal of UFC icon Mark Kerr.

Congratulations to The Rock on the incredible achievement!

The Rock Could Force John Cena To Postpone His Retirement

John Cena is set to hang up his jorts for good at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 in Washington, DC.

That’ll be the last time the WWE Universe will see The Last Real Champion wrestle. However, WWE legend Bully Ray thinks The Rock could force Cena to postpone his retirement.

While speaking on Busted Open, Ray predicted that The People’s Champion could show up at SNME and demand a match from Cena at WrestleMania 42 since his soul still belongs to him.

But if we could use Saturday Night’s Main Event as a jumping point into something that’s going to move us into the future, like Brock Lesnar and Gunther, I don’t have a problem with that. [But] I also am not taking my $1 bet off the table that I made a long time ago.

For some reason, I don’t think this ends in Washington, D.C. for John Cena. And I would not be shocked if in the midst of all of the happy, happy, joy, joy, [Rock’s theme song] ‘If you smell what The Rock is cooking [plays].’

I’ve said this before, it just doesn’t sound right — John Cena, last match, Washington, D.C., Saturday Night’s Main Event. What sounds right is John Cena, last match, WrestleMania, Las Vegas.
