WWE Adds Massive Reward To King & Queen of The Ring Tournaments
The winners of King and Queen of the Ring could take their careers to a whole new level.
WWE is currently in Saudi Arabia for King & Queen of the Ring. At the event, the finals for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will be held, while the second set of semi-finals will be held on SmackDown 24 hours earlier.
In the men’s tournament, Randy Orton and Tama Tonga will meet for the right to face Gunther, while on the women’s side, Nia Jax takes on Bianca Belair, with the winner facing Lyra Valkyria.
However, it’s been revealed that the winners won’t just be getting a shiny trophy.
In a post on social media, Triple H confirmed the winners of the two tournaments will receive World Championship matches at SummerSlam.
“So i have an announcement on that, in the past King and Queen of the Ring it was such an honour to be in that tournament and win that tournament, on your own to have that launch you to another palce, but I wanted that tournament to stand on its own, and I didn’t want to announce this part of it until we got here. But I’ll let all of you know tonight that the winner of the King of the Ring tournament and the winner of the Queen of the Ring tournament will both go on to recieve championship matches with the title of their respective brands.
So they will both get World Title shots, either WWE or World Title at SummerSlam.”
WWE SummerSlam Being Split Across Two Nights
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that for the first time ever, WWE SummerSlam will take place across two nights in 2026. The announcement also confirmed the event will be held in the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 1st and 2nd.
WrestleMania 41 was expected to be held in the city, but it was replaced by Las Vegas after several delays.
