WWE Making Changes To Survivor Series
WWE has made a slight change to Survivor Series 2024.
On November 30th, WWE Survivor Series: WarGames will land in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The event will be the 38th run under the Survivor Series banner, and it remains a favourite among long-time fans.
According to WWE’s official website, the start of the show has been moved to an earlier time of 2.30pm local. This is 5.30pm ET. The time listed is usually 30 minutes before the show goes on the air indicating it’ll now begin at 6pm EST.
This brings the event in line with Bad Blood, although that was due to a UFC event taking place on the same night.
Survivor Series 2023 Changed WWE
On September 2nd, 2023 it was announced that CM Punk had been fired by AEW. The move came after the star got into a backstage altercation at All In with Jack Perry, which left AEW boss Tony Khan “fearing for his life.”
Punk’s AEW tenure had been littered with controversy, and he famously got into a fight backstage with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega after All Out 2022. Just minutes earlier Punk had launched a blistering verbal assault on several members of the company during the post-show press conference.
All of this paved the way for one of the most remarkable returns in WWE history. On November 5th in Chicago, CM Punk walked out onto the stage to close the show, leaving fans stunned.
Punk has since revealed that his contract was only signed while the main event match was in the ring after he was smuggled into the building.
