WWE Makes First 2 Matches For Heatwave

Ava WWE NXT

The biggest party of the summer might be over, but in WWE, a Heatwave is coming, and the first two matches for that show have been announced.

Blake Monroe showed her true colours when she turned on Jordynne Grace at Evolution, stopping Grace from winning the NXT Women’s Championship from Jacy Jayne.

Monroe has since got personal with Grace, and on the July 5th edition of NXT, Grace was looking for payback. Monroe took on Kelani Jordan on the show, but Grace soon appeared, wearing a neck brace, and chased Monroe away. Monroe fled the arena, and a car whisked her out of harm’s way. Later in the show, Jordynne Grace met with NXT General Manager Ava, who confirmed a match between her and Monroe for Heatwave.

WWE Gold On The Line At Heatwave

In the very next segment, NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank took on Uriah Connors & Kale Dixon when Darkstate appeared and attacked both teams. Complaining to Ava only led her to make a match between Hank & Tank and any two members of Darkstate for the NXT Tag Team Championship at Heatwave.

Heatwave is WWE’s next PLE for the NXT brand and takes place on August 24th in Lowell, Massachusetts. To the surprise of nobody, that event takes place on the same night as AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling present Forbidden Door.
