WWE Calling Up Major NXT Wrestler For Main Roster Debut
One of the biggest names in WWE is getting ready for a call up to the main roster.
After four years on the WWE NXT roster, former NXT Champion, NXT North American Champion, and TNA World Champion Trick Williams is expected to be called up to the WWE main roster very soon.
The BodySlam Patreon is reporting that Trick Williams is backstage at the SmackDown & Raw double taping in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the company will be taping the December 22nd edition of Raw and the December 26th edition of SmackDown.
According to their report, Trick’s main roster debut is imminent, but it’s not known if it will happen at the tapings in Grand Rapids.
A call-up to the main roster makes sense for Trick since he’s been a major star in NXT for the past three years and is no longer appearing on NXT every week, which is a sign that he’s likely going to be full-time on Raw or SmackDown soon.
Trick’s last televised NXT match was on the November 25th episode, which was taped one week earlier. Trick lost to Myles Borne in that match. Trick has wrestled on NXT live events sine then.
WWE’s Trick Williams And Lash Are Engaged To Be Married
Trick Williams is engaged to WWE SmackDown wrestler Lash Legend, who recently got the main roster call after about four years in NXT.
Lash Legend revealed in a recent interview that she and Trick were just friends before dating. Their romance bloomed, and they were engaged during Thanksgiving weekend last month.
“We truly were just friends for the first couple of years being at the PC. And I got to learn that he was such a great person, and I think he felt the same way about me. Then one day we were just like, ‘Hey, let’s be friends outside of work and let’s see what happens.’
We just clicked. I mean, we had so many of the same interests. Our backgrounds are so familiar, and it was like, ‘Yeah, we’re supposed to be together, so let’s be together.’”
For the last year, Trick Williams was a heel on NXT, but he also spent time in NXT as a babyface with the popular “Whoop That Trick” Theme song. At the age of 31 and with only about five years of wrestling experience, Trick is somebody with a very bright future.
