WWE Called Out For “Straight Up Lying To People”
WWE SummerSlam 2025 had people truly wondering the type of ideas Triple H has up his sleeves.
It so happens that Seth Rollins returned to WWE at The Biggest Party of the Summer with Paul Heyman and the Money in the Bank briefcase.
What people thought was merely a visit for CM Punk after he secured the World Heavyweight Championship turned out to be the biggest ruse of the century. The Visionary dropped his crutches and cashed in on the newly crowned champion, ending the reign within minutes.
WWE has started lying to people
Recently, Netflix released WWE: Unreal, which completely demolishes the line between real-life and kayfabe. It gives viewers a glimpse of what goes on in the creative discussions, and how on-screen rivals interact backstage.
Given that the kayfabe line has been abolished, Triple H needs to still keep fans engaged with the product.
On UnSkripted, Dutch Mantell claimed that WWE is now lying to people, as the fandom witnessed with Seth Rollins’ SummerSlam cash-in.
You got to accept that since they gave up the premise of kayfabe, now they’re just straight up lying to people. And that’s what they did in the beginning, but it was in a nicer shape and form. I really like that. But I think that opens up CM Punk and Seth for a, I say at least a three-month run.
Of course, fans and other superstars have all been taken aback by what Triple H and Seth Rollins pulled off!
