WWE Looking To Move AAA Star To The Main Roster

Triple H WWE

WWE is looking to feature more talent from AAA.

From the moment that it was announced that WWE had acquired AAA during WrestleMania 41, speculation has been running wild about several of the Mexican promotion’s biggest stars.

The sports entertainment giant has already featured El Hijo Del Vikingo at several tapings, and now it seems that AAA stalwart Psycho Clown has also caught their eye.

As reported on Wrestle Votes Radio, WWE is said to be keen on utilising the star in a more high-profile position by using him on the main roster.

“We are told WWE has a significant interest in making yet another AAA star a prominent part of their main roster, that being Pyscho Cown. Psycho Clown, who is a third-generation wrestler, has been working under this current gimmick with AAA since 2007 and has also appeared briefly on TNA TV back in 2019. WWE is said to be intrigued by his character and the marketing abilities that are attached to it.”

At Worlds Collide, Psycho Clown teamed with El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Pagano in defeat to Legado Del Fantasma.

WWE Continues To Reject Former Star

While there’s a great deal of speculation around who WWE might look to use from AAA, there’s one star the company is seemingly determined to keep at arm’s length.

A new report has reiterated earlier claims that WWE has no desire to work with Alberto El Patron, better known as Alberto Del Rio. The report comes after Del Rio was beaten for the Mega Championship ahead of Worlds Collide by El Hijo Del Vikingo.

At Worlds Collide, Vikingo squared off against Chad Gable. There have been claims that Patron only lost the title so WWE could avoid him wrestling on one of its shows.
