WWE Legends Set For Main Roster Return
Two sure-fire Hall of Famers are coming back to WWE.
It’s been announced that Matt and Jeff Hardy will officially return to WWE on February 25. The tag team legends will be heading to NXT to face Tavion Heights and Myles Borne as the relationship between NXT and TNA continues.
The match will be the first for the legendary team on WWE television since 2019. During that run the pair eventually went their separate ways and Matt left the company in 2020, while Jeff was released in highly-controversial circumstances in late 2021.
While there’s a buzz around The Hardy Boyz competing in NXT along with new merchandise, it seems that this is just the beginning.
As reported by Wrestle Votes, WWE has bigger plans for The Hardys, including a run on the main roster later in the year.
WWE has dropped a brand new Hardy Boyz shirt ahead of their NXT return tonight. Internally, there’s buzz that this is just the beginning, with creative sources optimistic the legendary duo will have a main roster program sometime this spring / summer.
Jeff Hardy Aiming To “Right Some Wrongs” In WWE
Jeff Hardy’s most recent run with the sports entertainment giant came to an end in December 2021 surrounded by a wave of controversy. The star walked out of a match during a live event by hopping the guardrail and heading into the crowd. There were reports the star had been acting erratically, and he was ultimately released after refusing to go to rehab.
While looking ahead to the match on February 25, Matt Hardy said Jeff is “looking to right some wrongs” regarding his departure, and is excited to leave things on a good note.
