WWE Legend’s Daughter Training To Become A Wrestler
WWE has seen many second-generation superstars make their way into the company and establish themselves as top stars. Randy Orton and Roman Reigns are two prime examples of the same.
While the entire Fatu-Anoa’i family has produced generations of wrestlers who currently compete in WWE and across the independent circuit, another WWE legend’s daughter seems to be following in her father’s footsteps.
Former WWE wrestler, John Tenta, better known to fans as Earthquake was posthumously inducted into the Hall of Fame this year, following which his daughter, Joanna Tenta started training to become a wrestler.
WWE Hall of Famer’s daughter is also cancer chaplain
Earthquake passed away in 2006 after a two-year battle with bladder cancer, and that prompted his daughter to become a cancer chaplain, and stated in a recent interview that she is now getting into the ring, healing parts of her 17-year-self.
“There are some times that I do… if I’m stepping into the ring… running the ropes… sometimes there are flickers of that… I’m trying to learn some of my dad’s moves. I feel like since I’ve started training, it has rounded me out. I feel like I’m healing parts of that 17-year-old after my dad died,” she said. “It’s still the same Joanna. When I’m at the hospital, my whole role is caring for others and so there’s a level of sensitivity and care and attention that I have to provide. Here, I kind of let loose here. I get to be myself” she said. [H/T: Fightful]
She is currently training under American indepent wrestler Dominic Garrini, who himself was trained by current WWE couple, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae.
