WWE To Bring Back Legendary Stipulation For Cody Rhodes Match
WWE is bringing back a classic match stipulation for Cody Rhodes.
After weeks of teases and cryptic videos, Shinsuke Nakamura revealed his next target on the November 27th episode of Raw. As Cody Rhodes cut a promo, Nakamura attacked, spraying mist in his face.
This set up a match between the pair on the December 11th edition of the red brand, but the issues between them are far from over. With Rhodes closing in on victory, Nakamura sprayed mist into his face to cause the disqualification. With the American Nightmare on the back foot, Nakamura attacked and grabbed a steel chair but was chased off by The Creeds.
It’s now been announced on social media that Rhodes and Nakamura will go one-on-one once again at WWE’s traditional Boxing Day event at Madison Square Garden. Not only that, they’ll meet in a Texas Bull Rope Match.
The stipulation is very rarely used by WWE and was made famous by Rhodes’ father, Dusty.

The stacked card will also see CM Punk return to the ring for the first time since August.
The match will be Punk’s first of any description since defeating Samoa Joe at AEW All in on August 27th, while it will be his first in a WWE ring since the 2014 Royal Rumble match.
For those keeping score, Punk hasn’t wrestled at a WWE ‘house show’ since January 19th, 2014.
