WWE Legend Will Allegedly Lose First Match In 3 Years

WWE fans unhappy

A Hall of Famer is challenging for a major WWE championship.

Goldberg returned a few weeks ago to confront Gunther and challenge him for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event. It would be the 58-year-old’s first match since his loss to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in 2022.

WWE also later confirmed that the match would be Da Man’s final one, revealing that he would retire after going head-to-head with The Ring General.

While addressing the upcoming clash on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts predicted that Goldberg would lose the title match in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

I don’t think Bill Goldberg’s gonna win the World Heavyweight Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event at all. I just don’t think so. The possibilities of it, I just don’t see it. There’s so much going on and there’s so many potential matches and none of them are Goldberg matches. [45:18 onwards]

Why Goldberg’s Final WWE Match Must Be Short?

The former World Heavyweight Champion has made a history of squashing his opponents. In a recent interview with Hannibal TV, former WWE head writer Vince Russo claimed Goldberg’s final match must not be long either.

The wrestling veteran warned a long match would expose the 58-year-old WWE Hall of Famer.

I don’t know how it could turn into a long match. Goldberg’s in great freaking shape, Goldberg is 53 years old though I think [Goldberg is 58], the dude’s in great shape, there’s no question about it. The longer the match goes on, the more you’re going to expose the guy. I am a firm believer in protecting your talent. I don’t know how they could possibly make that match go long, bro, but I can’t figure out a lot of things they do these days.
