WWE Legend Wants Special Moment With AJ Lee

AJ Lee is a woman in demand.

On the September 5 episode of SmackDown, AJ Lee made her long-awaited return to WWE television. The star returned to confront Becky Lynch, who had cost her husband, CM Punk, the World Heavyweight Championship days earlier.

In the process, Lynch aligned with her husband, Seth Rollins, as part of The Vision for the first time.

Following another appearance on Raw, it was announced that AJ Lee will team with CM Punk to face Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza on September 20. On what is expected to be a stacked card as WWE kicks off its new partnership with ESPN, John Cena will battle Brock Lesnar one last time.

Nikki Bella Delighted To Welcome Back AJ Lee

On the latest episode of the Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki Bella revealed that she got a chance to catch up with Lee backstage at Raw. She added that she’d love to have just one segment with the star in the coming weeks, given their lengthy history and importance to each other’s careers.

“It was great, AJ is back. She and I were chatting for a bit backstage and we were both just saying how crazy it is [that] you’re here when I’m back. I’m like, ‘No, I’m so happy you’re back.’ It was great talking to her.

I actually hope we get a moment because when you think about it — everyone’s talking about it on the internet, and it is true. I mean, we were so much of each other’s most important stories at that time with the Diva’s Championship before she had left, even with you and Paige. It was so much about us. We have to have a moment.

I feel that even this Monday, we should have a moment backstage. I’m hoping at some point we have that interaction because I know the fans would love it.”

Interestingly, Saraya, known as Paige in WWE, has reiterated that she would like to return to the company. The former AEW Women’s World Champion has been a free agent since coming to an agreement to end her contract with All Elite boss Tony Khan.
