WWE Legend Reveals Truth About Supposed Heat With Ric Flair
Ric Flair has made plenty of enemies over the years, but how does one WWE legend feel about Flair after a recent controversy?
On May 15th, AEW announcer Jim Ross revealed that he’d been diagnosed with colon cancer and would be undergoing surgery.
Ross is particularly beloved within the wrestling community, and the news of his ill health sparked an outpouring of love and support for the commentary legend. However, in a now-deleted bizarre social media post, Ric Flair accused Ross of attention seeking after revealing his diagnosis.
Since then, Ric Flair has revealed his own skin cancer diagnosis, and now Jim Ross has shared his thoughts on what the real situation is between him and the Nature Boy.
Jim Ross Still Loves Ric Flair
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross admitted he hadn’t spoken to Ric Flair recently but knows what he is going through as he has previously battled skin cancer:
I’ve had that. So I know what he’s going through, but I haven’t spoken to Ric. He called me early on when I was diagnosed. He called me, left me a message, which was nice of him, but I haven’t spoken to him at length since that time.
As far as the issues between Ross and Flair, JR says there is no issue between them at all, as he wished him well for his health battle:
No, not at all. I don’t know where that came from. People just want to dig up sh*t and gossip and things of that nature. But no, I have no agenda, negative or positive, with Ric. He knows I love him. He knows I respect him. I called some of his greatest matches, which I feel honored to do. So no, he and I are fine, as far as I’m concerned.
No big deal at all. And I have great respect for Ric for what he’s accomplished and all those things. So, no issues at all, Conrad, quite frankly. I just hope he gets healthy and feels good, and pro wrestling needs Ric Flair. He’s a big part of the fabric of our business. And I just hope that if he has a skin cancer that it is addressed and controlled.
