WWE Legend Stacy Keibler Was Pressured To Lose Weight: “F**k Her”

Stacy Keibler

WWE Hall of Famer Stacy Keibler was pressured to be on a strict diet in her early days to “look good” on TV.

WWE fans will immediately recognise the leggy diva Stacy Keibler. Her famous ring entrance, where she would bend down and enter through the middle and the top rope tantalisingly, was an attraction many tuned in to see back in the day.

A little-known fact about the former WWE Diva, though, is her original stint in the now-defunct WCW (World Championship Wrestling) in the 90s, where she was billed as Miss Hancock, was a Nitro girl and shared an on-screen pairing with David Flair.

Two other WCW wrestlers in the mix were Lenny Lane and Lodi (Brad Cain), who were infamously portrayed as a gay couple on screen. The gimmick was soon scrapped as it was done in bad taste, almost propagating homophobia.

Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara from Creative helped them change their gimmicks, and they had to pick one of the WCW Nitro girls as a secretary. Stacy Keibler was picked for the part by Lane and Lodi.

Lenny Lane Says Lodi Pressured Stacy Keibler To Lose Weight

Speaking on the Wrestling Then And Now podcast, Lane recalled the time they were paired and revealed that Stacy needed to credit himself and Lodi for the role she got with them, as Lane liked David Flair, whom Stacy was dating.

He goes on to say that the former WWE diva can also credit Lodi, who got on her about her diet so that she would look her absolute best on screen.

Stacy can probably credit Lodi for getting on her about her diet and stuff like that. Because, you know, we used to come down and practice stuff beforehand because, remember, she’d always step up on the table and dance and get everybody’s attention.

Lane goes on to reveal something WWE fans won’t even imagine: that Keibler had cellulite all over her legs.

Either we would win or lose or whatever. She would sit on that table and dude, she had cellulite all over her legs. Dude, Lodi would get on her like hardcore, like almost she’d be crying just about.

I go, dude, you got to relax on this girl a little bit. He go, no, f**K her. She’s going to be on TV.
She needs to look the part, blah, blah, blah.

I guess you’re kind of right. And so, yeah, he kind of got on her about that kind of stuff. (3:30 onwards)
