WWE Legend Pays Special Tribute To Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt is gone but not forgotten.
At Halloween Havoc, The Hardy Boyz lost the NXT Tag Team Titles to Darkstate in a wild Broken Rules Match.
Thanks to the match having no disqualifications, it quickly became a handicap match with the entire Darkstate making sure the veterans didn’t leave with the gold.
During the match, Jeff Hardy paid tribute to the late, great Bray Wyatt by wearing face paint inspired by his character The Fiend. After the show, Matt, who worked with Wyatt in WWE, said the pair were happy to be able to pay tribute to the star.
Thank you for having our back tonight at @WWENXT #HalloweenHavoc, Arizona! You guys & gals were WONDERFUL!
We’re so sorry we weren’t able to retain the #WWENXT Tag Titles. The State of Dark swarm was relentless & never-ending tonight.
Our journey is nowhere near over, myself & Brother Nero have SO much left to do.
Very happy we could pay homage to Bray tonight – We love you & miss you, Windham.
Elsewhere at Halloween Havoc, Tatum Paxley beat Jacy Jayne to become the NXT Women’s Champion for the first time. Meanwhile, Blake Monroe captured her first championship as a WWE Superstar after beating Zaria to win the Women’s North American Title.
Charles Manson Wanted To Meet Bray Wyatt
During a recent interview, former WWE writer Nick Manfredini remarkably claimed that convicted murderer and cult leader Charles Manson wanted to meet Bray Wyatt. According to Manfredini, Manson had been made aware of Wyatt’s early promos and took an interest in meeting him.
After morphing into Bray Wyatt in mid-2012, recruited Luke Harper and Erick Rowan for what became known as The Wyatt Family. During this period, Wyatt leaned heavily into presenting himself as a cult leader-type figure as he and the family plotted their takeover.
Many of his promos during this period were influenced by Manson’s own ramblings.
