WWE Legend Labeled The Most Uninteresting Character Ever

A legendary wrestler has blasted a WWE legend who thinks a bit too highly of himself.

Bill Goldberg is a WWE Hall of Famer who competed in his final match earlier this year at Saturday Night’s Main Event in July, losing to Gunther.

During his wrestling career, Goldberg was a 4-time WWE & WCW World Champion and had a 173-0 record in WCW from late 1997 through 1998. WCW manufactured the number for storyline purposes, but Goldberg did have a long, undefeated streak that lasted over a year.

In a recent interview, Goldberg blasted WWE for having “some girl” beat his winning streak record. He was referring to former Women’s Champion Asuka, who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame down the road.

Asuka responded to Goldberg’s remarks in a classy way, saying they didn’t bother her, even though many fans felt Goldberg disrespected her by calling her “some girl” instead of using her name.

While speaking on his Story Time With Dutch Mantell podcast, former wrestler, manager, booker, and creative team member Dutch Mantell blasted Goldberg and claimed he was one of the most uninteresting characters in wrestlig history.

“Well, he thinks apparently that his winning streak was all him. Everybody had to be on board with that to get it to work. And he was the right guy to do it. I’m not saying that. But they could’ve picked anybody to take that spot, but they picked him.

And he’s the most uninteresting character ever, ever! in the wrestling profession. He just had a winning streak. He looked the part. A former ballplayer. So, everything fit except him.”

Booker T Also Backed WWE’s Asuka In Response To Goldberg

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T also chimed in on the Goldberg comments about Asuka by saying that wrestlers from the past need to recognize it’s a different era now.

“You know, I hate to say this because Goldberg’s a friend of mine. But I think these old guys need to stay out of what these young guys are doing. We had our time. For us to think about, in any way, knocking what these young guys and girls are doing today, it’s just totally out of bounds. We had our time, we ran hard, it was a great time.”

“For us to talk about what these young guys are doing right now in a negative way, I think it’s wrong in any way, shape, or form. Critiquing the wrestling is something we do. I’m just glad I’m one of the guys who try to lean to the side that old school is cool, but we’re in a different era now.”
