WWE Legend Still Set For Evolution Despite Scrapped Plans
One WWE Hall of Famer is still set to be part of Evolution despite major plans having to be scrapped.
Liv Morgan recently suffered a serious shoulder injury that will keep her out of action for several months. That injury came one week after Morgan confronted the returning WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, as it seemed a huge match for Evolution 2 could be on the horizon.
Since then, Liv Morgan has been replaced by one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and that gold will be on the line at Evolution in a fatal four-way match. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss became the first team to qualify for that bout as challengers on the July 4th edition of SmackDown.
But where does this all leave Nikki Bella?
Nikki Bella Still In WWE’s Plans For Evolution
Dave Meltzer has noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that, as of now, Nikki Bella is still in WWE’s plans for Evolution, but it remains to be seen what match she will be a part of:
Nikki Bella we are told is still on the show. Bella came back but hasn’t been back on TV or given a direction after her first angle with Morgan. She was at the 6/23 show to shoot an angle where she was likely to have cost Morgan her match with Kairi Sane, but Morgan was injured at the start of the match and Bella didn’t appear.
Nikki Bella’s last singles match on a WWE PLE came back in 2018 on the original Evolution show, where she unsuccessfully challenged Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women’s Championship.
