WWE Legend Denies Comeback Is One Off

WWE Royal Rumble 2025

A WWE Hall of Famer has no desire to head back into retirement.

Nikki Bella made her long-awaited in-ring return at the 2025 Royal Rumble. The match was her first since appearing at the 2022 edition of the event and came following several weeks of speculation and reports that she’d been back in training.

Bella initially announced her retirement in 2019 after the discovery of a benign cyst on her brain while also citing her long-standing neck problems. Nikki and her sister Brie officially left WWE in 2023 and announced they’d be known as The Garcia Twins going forward.

At that stage, a WWE return appeared unlikely, but speculation went into overdrive when Nikki appeared in the crowd when Raw debuted on Netflix on January 6, 2025.

Nikki Bella Sticking Around In WWE

While WWE cameos by legends in Royal Rumble matches have been the norm for several years, fans have wondered whether Nikki’s comeback could be the start of something more substantial. And interestingly, it seems those fans would be right.

Speaking on the latest edition of The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki said she’ll be back again sooner rather than later before confirming she’s continuing to train.

“I do know there’s a lot of rumors on the internet, ‘Is this a one-off or is she here to stay?’ Well, keep tuning in because you will see another Fearless Nikki appearance, sooner than later, that is for sure,” Bella said.

“But I’m definitely doing more than what I just did Saturday. So, I’m continuing to train. And it’s just — I have felt so empowered and alive in certain ways. Honestly, the most important thing that I’ve been getting back that I realized I have lost for so many years, which is unlike me and I never would have thought I lost it, is definitely my confidence.”

Bella went on to praise Natalya for helping build up her confidence while they trained together ahead of the Rumble. When looking to the future, the star said she’d love to face the likes of Chelsea Green, Rhea Ripley, and Roxanne Perez.
