WWE Legend Could Cost John Cena His Title At SummerSlam

John Cena will face Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025 in a Street Fight, which means anything goes.

With no disqualification, the WWE Universe is curious about whether or not someone is slated to interfere in the championship match.

Currently, there is only one name that poses a threat, i.e., Seth Rollins. As Mr. Money in the Bank, he can cash-in during the championship match and walk away as the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

John Cena can lose the championship because of The Rock and not Seth Rollins

Since it’s a Street Fight, everything is legal. The champion and challenger can use any weapon they wish to and there are no disqualifications. Given that is the case, an interference is very much a possibility for this match.

On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts explained how The Rock could be the one to interfere in the match, costing John Cena the championship.

I would fantasy book The Rock to interfere. Rock Bottoms John Cena, Cody looks up at him, confused like, ‘I didn’t ask for this. I don’t know what you’re doing here’. Cody pins John Cena. The Rock nods his head and leaves. And that way, Cody can get on SmackDown the next night or on next Friday and say, ‘Look, I’m not The Rock’s guy. I’m not The Rock’s champion but, I told you I wouldn’t flinch’. And, that’s how Cody wins the match.

The Final Boss is supposed to be on The Franchise Player’s side. If he turns on Cena, that could spark a new rivalry between the stalwarts.
