WWE Legend Confirms He Will Never Wrestle Again
A WWE legend discussed the possibility of wrestling in a retirement match.
Goldberg recently fought in his last match with the company, where he faced World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event XL in a losing cause.
While Goldberg got his last hurrah, Kane brushed aside any chance of returning to the squared circle for the last time.
The Big Red Machine last wrestled in WWE during the 2021 Royal Rumble, a PLE that is close to his heart.
Kane holds a handful of Royal Rumble records, including most appearances (20), most eliminations (46), and the quickest elimination of another competitor (1.9 seconds/Santino Marella).
Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, currently serves as the Mayor of Knox County, a position he has held since September 2018.
During an appearance on the Busted Open Radio podcast, the 58-year-old acknowledged that he may be way past his time.
I don’t know about that, man. Oh man. Brother, we were just talking about athleticism and movement and keeping up with the pace of people nowadays. That may have left me behind, guys.
Kane Is All Praises For WWE CCO Triple H
During his time as a wrestler, Kane had intense rivalries with Triple H, including the infamous Katie Vick storyline and his unmasking.
He also worked primarily under Vince McMahon, whom he recognized as a “great mind.”
However, he’s also aware of the success that WWE has achieved with Triple H at the helm and praised him during his chat with Freedom Pact.
I look at WWE now, under the leadership of Triple H, and it’s just, wow. I’m so proud of everything that he’s been able to do with his own style of leadership. Just almost taking the company to another level altogether.
Kane’s last high-profile match was at the 2018 Crown Jewel event, where he partnered with Undertaker to face the D-Generation X duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H.
