WWE Legend May Come Out Of Retirement For TNA Run
Nic Nemeth is trying to convince the WWE Legend to join TNA.
Nic Nemeth fought Santino Marella in the TNA Border Brawl last week. The former World Heavyweight Champion had WWE Legend, Kelly Kelly, by his side and has been trying to convince her to join TNA since.
Kelly Kelly fought her last singles match against Natalya in 2012 at a SmackDown House Show in Taiwan. Since then, the former Divas Champion has made sporadic appearances in the Royal Rumble. Her last appearance was at the 2022 30-woman match that was won by Ronda Rousey. In 2025, she signed a WWE Legends deal with the company and made an appearance at TNA’s Border Brawl last week.
Nic Nemeth did a Hollywood Heels interview with WhatCulture Wrestling, where he spoke about his interest in getting Kelly Kelly back into the wrestling business. He detailed his experience working with her and shared that he has been after her ever since to come out of retirement.
“It was nice to see her jaw-jacking and letting everybody know that she can still go and she can back her stuff up. So as the entire day went on, I said, ‘You know, you wouldn’t mind coming to do TNA a little bit here every once in a while. You could be in our corner. You could—you could help make matches. You could take Santino’s spot because I don’t care. I don’t think he should be in it.’ So how about this? How about this scenario? How about this one? And then since I got home, I’ve been sending some texts like, ‘Give any thought to it?’ You know, maybe we can bring in—maybe. So I’m buttering her up as much as I can. She does not need to work. She’s a mother. She’s got it all figured out. She’s done it. But I feel like I could see it in her eyes—she was having a lot of fun the other night.
Kelly Kelly was the first woman to hold the WWE 24/7 Championship
In addition to winning the Divas Championship, Kelly Kelly has also won the WWE 24/7 Championship. The 38-year-old Legend was the first woman to win the title. She won the championship back in 2019 on an episode of RAW Reunion.
On the show, Kelly Kelly made a guest appearance along with many Legends. At the time, Gerald Brisco was the champion. The former Divas Champion pinned Brisco with a roll-up to win the title but dropped it quickly to Candice Michelle, with Melina as the special guest referee.
