WWE Legend Gives Interesting Take On “12-Year-Old Looking” AJ Lee

AJ Lee has been the talk of the WWE town ever since her return a few weeks ago on SmackDown.

Lee was away for almost a decade until she decided to return, and from a recent interview, the fans found out that CM Punk had a big hand in convincing her to return to WWE, the very place she called “home” in the early 2010s.

Lee is back, and she’s ready to step foot in the ring against her husband’s nemesis, Seth Rollins, and his wife, Becky Lynch. She will team up with The Second City Saint to take on the heel couple at Wrestlepalooza on September 20 in Indianapolis.

WWE legend Victoria recently shared her thoughts on AJ Lee’s upcoming Wrestlepalooza match during an interview on WrestlingNews.co’s “The Velvet Ropes.” She expressed joy over the fact that Lee is getting to fight alongside her real-life husband, something that wasn’t allowed back in the day when Victoria was an active wrestler in WWE.

Back in our day, we were not allowed to date each other because it would might affect future, you know, feelings. You separate work and relationships. And I think it’s now like I think it’s great that WWE and all they’re embracing relationships because it’s going to happen. We spend more time on the road than with our own
families, and you create bonds and all that kind of stuff.

And it’s nothing negative about the business. I’m sure entertainers, musicians, actors go through this, you know, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, you know, they did a movie, and look at that chemistry, you know what I mean? You can tell. But, I think it’s refreshing for a husband and wife to be on the main event. That would have never happened back in my day. I don’t think so. But it’s new. It’s exciting. I’m loving it. I’m really loving it. Yeah.

Victoria shared that she’s excited for Lee’s in-ring return and joked that The Geek Goddess still looks like a 12-year-old even at the age of 38.

But it just bothers me that she looks like a 12-year-old wrestling and stuff like that. (9:22 – 10:29)
