WWE “Late Night” Taking Place During SummerSlam Weekend
A special comedy event will take place after the first night of WWE SummerSlam in New Jersey.
This year’s SummerSlam event will make history because it’s the first time that WWE’s summer spectacular will take place over two nights. WrestleMania has been a two-night event since 2020, but none of the other PLEs have followed suit and become two-night shows.
That will change this year when SummerSlam takes place on August 2nd and August 3rd at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the home of the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets. MetLife Stadium hosted WrestleMania 29 and WrestleMania 35, so it’s no stranger to hosting a major WWE event.
In the weeks and months ahead, WWE is likely to announce additional events scheduled to take place during SummerSlam weekend.
There was a WrestleMania roast hosted by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe earlier this year and WWE is bringing him back for a SummerSlam event called “Late Night” as well. The announcement was made on WWE’s website.
WWE Late Night featuring Tony Hinchcliffe set for SummerSlam weekend
June 27, 2025 – WWE today announced that WWE Late Night Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe will take place at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 2 at 11pm ET, as a part of SummerSlam weekend.
Hinchcliffe, the internationally renowned comedian, one of the top roasters in the world and the mastermind behind Kill Tony, will bring together soon-to-be-announced top comics, entertainers and WWE Superstars for an unforgettable night of laughs and huge surprises.
An exclusive presale opportunity for the closed-doors, non-televised event will begin Monday, June 30 at 10am ET/7am PT until 11:59 pm ET/8:59pm PT via https://www.Ticketmaster.com, followed by the general public ticket on-sale on Tuesday, July 1 at 10am ET.
This past April, Hinchcliffe hosted The Roast of WrestleMania Featuring Tony Hinchcliffe & Friends at the state-of-the-art BleauLive Theater in front of a sold-out crowd at Fontainebleau Las Vegas as a part of WrestleMania® 41 week. The roast featured WWE Superstars such as The Miz and Sami Zayn, as well as legendary WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman, among others.

The graphic says that it will start at 10:30 p.m. ET. If SummerSlam starts at 7 p.m. ET then it may be difficult for fans to attend both SummerSlam and Late Night since it might end around the same time as when Late Night begins.
King And Queen Of The Ring Winners To Receive WWE Or World Title Matches At SummerSlam
There will be SummerSlam implications at the WWE Night of Champions PLE featuring the winners of the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments.
At Night of Champions, Randy Orton will face Cody Rhodes in the King of the Ring finals. Whoever wins that match will earn a WWE Title or World Heavyweight Title shot at SummerSlam. Since both guys are part of SmackDown, it will likely be a shot at the WWE Title, which John Cena currently holds.
In the Queen of the Ring finals, Jade Cargill will be against Asuka, who made her return to the ring recently after missing over a year of action due to a knee injury. Whoever wins that match will face the WWE Women’s Champion or Women’s World Champion at SummerSlam.
