WWE’s John Cena Sets His Sights On Specific Type Of Film Role

John Cena WWE Point

John Cena is interested in being in a movie where he can do something he hasn’t done in his career before.

The shocking heel turn of John Cena has arguably been the biggest story in WWE this year, which is also going to be Cena’s final year as an active wrestler.

When he’s away from WWE, Cena is busy filming movies, television shows, commercials, hosting various things, and whatever he can do. Since he stopped working for WWE full-time over five years ago, Cena has focused on his Hollywood life.

Most of John Cena’s acting career has seen him take on roles where his physicality as a pro wrestler comes into play, and he has also demonstrated his comedic abilities in comedy roles. There have been some dramatic roles as well, but not necessarily major ones.

During a recent appearance at the Philadelphia Fan Expo, Cena was asked if he wanted to portray a villain who kills or a civilian who gets killed in a horror movie.

“My answer to that is yes because I’ve never been in a horror film, so I would just want to be in a horror film. If you’re out there and you’re doing it, I’m available.”

John Cena Tag Team Match Announced For WWE Money In The Bank

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tampa, the WWE Champion John Cena defeated R-Truth in a non-title match thanks to a low blow kick that the referee didn’t see, and Cena followed up with an Attitude Adjustment.

Later in the show, John Cena attacked the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso during his title defense against Logan Paul. Luckily for Jey, Cody Rhodes was there to make his return and take care of his rival Cena. This allowed Jey to find a way to beat Paul to retain the World Heavyweight Title.

After all the chaos, Cody Rhodes challenged Cena and Paul to a tag team match against Cody and Jey at WWE Money in the Bank on June 7 in Los Angeles. The match was made official by WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H, who also revealed Cena is on the Money in the Bank poster.
