WWE Turning John Cena Heel Criticized By Former Rival
John Cena’s heel turn is still a question in some minds. The whole character change did not work out as WWE had hoped it would, and was a wasted opportunity.
He turned heel at Elimination Chamber when he sold his soul to The Rock. However, The Final Boss did not return to WWE TV after that, leaving the story incomplete. He turned babyface soon afterwards and continued the Farewell Tour.
The heel turn was a moment his fans had waited years for. So, for a moment, it was the talk of the town until the flaws in the story were pointed out.
Wade Barrett criticized John Cena’s heel turn
Recently, Wade Barrett spoke with Metro, where he discussed John Cena’s heel turn and expressed that it wasn’t well-received at all. However, he expressed his delight about it being reversed.
I don’t know if he took some bad advice on the whole heel turn. I didn’t like it at all.
I didn’t think it was the right move, and I think his course correct around about SummerSlam time was absolutely the right thing to do.
I think he owed it to the WWE Universe and, of course, his legions of Cenation fans to close this thing out the right way and give people what they wanted from him, which is the John Cena they’ve known and loved all along.
