WWE Issues Heartbreaking Update On Alexa Bliss
WWE kicked off its UK Tour in spectacular fashion from Dublin, Ireland.
However, one female star was absent from the taping due to not being medically cleared to wrestle.
On the August 15 episode of SmackDown, Alexa Bliss faced The Secret Hervice’s Piper Niven in a singles match.
After being dominated for most of the match, she managed to sneak a win with a roll-up on Niven. As she celebrated, Alba Fyre superkicked her, which prompted Charlotte Flair to launch a counterattack.
However, the numbers game proved too much for the Women’s Tag Team Champions, as Niven, Fyre, and Chelsea Green overpowered them.
Alexa Bliss bore most of the brunt, as Fire first dropped her with a Gory Bomb, which was followed by Niven’s Vader Bomb.
During the Dublin show this week, Charlotte appeared without her partner during her singles match against Piper Niven. Green and Fyre, again, played their roles as distractors, allowing Niven to secure an upset win.
Alexa Bliss And Charlotte Flair Scheduled For Title Defense
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair have gotten on like a house on fire since they first paired on the July 4 SmackDown show.
Their victory in the triple threat tag team match qualified them as #1 contenders to face the then women’s tag team champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez at Evolution.
While they did not succeed, they got their second opportunity at the championship at SummerSlam, where Alexa Bliss pinned Perez to win the match and the titles.
Since the beginning of August, their feud with The Secret Hervice has become more physical. Moreover, the recent attack on Bliss and Flair’s defeat have been major setbacks.
Next week, WWE reaches the business end of its UK Tour, followed by the Clash in Paris PLE.
It was announced that Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will defend their tag team titles against The Secret Hervice next week in Lyon, France.
It will be interesting to see what shape Bliss and Flair are in physically and mentally.
