WWE Files Interesting Trademark Ahead Of Raw Netflix Move

Triple H WWE

A new trademark filing by WWE suggests what could be coming when Raw heads to Netflix.

The WWE Monday Night Raw era on Netflix is just weeks away with the first episode taking place on January 6th in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome.

It’s a new era because WWE fans will use Netflix to watch Monday Night Raw. Meanwhile, non-American fans in places like the UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and elsewhere will also watch WWE PLE’s, Smackdown & NXT on Netflix as well.

To prepare for the move to their new home, the company filed to trademark “Raw Vault” for wrestling purposes on December 6, 2024.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer recently wrote to his subscribers on X that the WWE Raw library will be moving to Netflix for Peacock users in the US.

“Confirmed that the entire RAW library will be off Peacock with the move to Netflix.”

The filing of the “Raw Vault” trademark covers several possible uses according to the filing:

“Entertainment services, namely, a continuing program about sports and entertainment accessible by means of television, satellite, audio, video, web-based applications, mobile phone applications and computer networks; entertainment services, namely, television shows about sports, entertainment and general interest rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.”

There is also a popular YouTube channel called WWE Vault that could be related to the filing or perhaps the Raw Vault may be just what the Raw archives are called on Netflix.

Triple H Believes WWE Will Remain A “Safe Place” On Netflix

Since the WWE product is PG and Netflix allows more flexibility in their programming in terms of using adult language, nudity, and other things, some people want to believe that WWE’s product will be more adult. However, WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque made it clear that WWE won’t be changing any time soon.

It’s a safe place for families, for kids, for everybody, to be able to view the programming. That will not change.

The next week is a busy one for WWE with the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14th in Long Island, New York.
