Multiple Stars To Challenge For WWE Intercontinental Title At WrestleMania 41

A new report has offered an update on WWE’s plans for the Intercontinental Title.

On the March 24 edition of Monday Night Raw, Bron Breakker will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Penta. The challenger is undefeated in singles action since joining the company back in January and as a result, has quickly moved into contention for championship gold.

The match announcement came as a surprise to many, as the bout had been tipped to take place at WrestleMania, not on television. However, an Intercontinental Title match featuring Breakker and Penta will reportedly be on the WrestleMania card.

WWE Has Big Plans For Intercontinental Title

According to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE is planning a Fatal-Four-Way Match at WrestleMania for the Intercontinental Championship. The working plan as of March 17 and the match between Bron Breakker and Finn Balor was for the match to include Penta and Dominik Mysterio as well as Breakker and Balor.

There’s no word on who will be holding the championship going into the event.

Fightful cautioned that plans can quickly change, and no pitch is set in stone.

Bron Breakker has held the Intercontinental Championship since beating Jey Uso on October 21, 2024.
