Why WWE Will Improve Under Saudi Ownership
TKO could be working towards selling WWE to Saudi Arabia, and this will change the way the sports entertainment company works.
During Vince McMahon’s time, WWE was all about the production. The shows, the fireworks, the off-site shoots, everything was done to entice the audience. With TKO, it’s been focused on cost-cutting and just keeping it entertaining enough for fans to tune in for the shows.
So, there are things that would change if WWE were sold.
WWE will improve under Saudi Ownership
On The Coach and Bro, Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo broke down why the global juggernaut will thrive under Saudi Ownership as opposed to what is happening with it being under TKO.
They claimed that the money would be used to make the production better rather than being used to pay off a massive debt.
“I think Vince, it would get better because Saudi would spend the money to make the show great. TKO is trying to pay off $5 billion in debt. So, there’s no fireworks. There’s none of the extra stuff. Don’t you think that part of the reason they don’t do off-site shoots is cost?”, asked Jonathan Coachman.
“It would be a huge deal to Saudi. So, you know, they’re going to put everything they possibly can to kind of draw other entertainment sports, you know, entities to them. I mean, yeah, I agree with you on that. I agree with you”, said Vince Russo.
“They will. Yeah, they will take a loss, guys, in order to make this work financially”, agreed Coachman.
It is also being speculated that Vince McMahon will return to WWE once the company has been sold to Saudi Arabia.
