WWE ID Prospect Aspires To Break Coveted Randy Orton Record
A WWE ID signee is looking to break an impressive record that is part of Randy Orton’s legacy.
When Randy Orton became WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam 2004, it was just a few months after he turned 24 years old.
That first World Title win also put Randy Orton in the WWE record books because he became the youngest man to win a World Title in the history of the company. Brock Lesnar had the record previously after winning the WWE Title when he was 25 years old, but Lesnar left WWE earlier in 2004, so perhaps that’s why they had Orton break Lesnar’s record.
Since 2004, there have been many different iterations and looks of WWE World Titles, but there hasn’t been a man who has beaten Orton’s record.
Earlier this year in June while talking about the subject, Randy Orton felt like his youngest World Champion in WWE history record was safe.
As far as someone becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion and taking that from me, I don’t see that happening. Only because I think it was a very special circumstance when I became the youngest World Champion. I was 24 years old, and I don’t know if there’s anyone young enough to make it to that yet.
So I think I’m gonna hold that for quite some time, if not from here on out.
Could A WWE ID Prospect Break Randy Orton’s Record?
A new WWE ID prospect named Brad Baylor went on social media to call out Orton by saying he has four years to break Orton’s record since Baylor is 20 years old.
Hey @RandyOrton I’m only 20 years old. I got 4 years to break your record https://t.co/k1q5mWyHTPpic.twitter.com/j1o8boHdhm

At 44 years old, Randy Orton is still one of the most popular wrestlers in WWE and he challenged GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Title at the Bash In Berlin PLE. Gunther won that match, but Orton showed he could still compete at a high level. Orton sits at 14 World Titles in WWE history, which puts him third all-time after the 16 World Titles held by John Cena and Ric Flair.
Randy Orton is off WWE television due to a cheap attack from Kevin Owens, who nailed Orton with a piledriver. That attack using a banned WWE move led to Orton selling it as a big deal and a move that injured the master of the RKO.
