WWE Icon Filling In On Monday Night Raw

An iconic WWE star is returning to Monday Night Raw once again, but this time it’s just for a one-off appearance.

When Samantha Irvin shockingly left WWE in October 2024, the company brought back a very familiar voice in long-time ring announcer Lilian Garcia. Garcia had previously had two spells with the company from 1999 to 2009 and from 2011 to 2016.

However, after a SmackDown taping in March 2025, Garcia took to social media to reveal that her full-time run in WWE was over once again:

BREAKING NEWS Just finished announcing SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain, and it was absolutely incredible! Gracias por todo el amor España! But now I have some news—this was my last show as the full-time SmackDown announcer.

A new era is upon us, but I will still be with the company as I will be announcing for all Saturday Night’s Main Event shows, singing at certain special events, and currently working on other show ideas with WWE! WWE is my home, so stay tuned as a new chapter begins. I invite all of you to continue this journey with me as we share it together! Bottom line, thank you, and I love you dearly!

Lilian Garcia Back On WWE Raw

Garcia has maintained a part-time role with WWE since then, and now she’ll be back on the September 22nd edition of Raw.

Current Raw ring announcer Alicia Taylor took to social media to confirm that Garcia will be replacing her for one night only:

Tagging in @LilianGarcia Thanks for holding down #RAW tomorrow!

Raw will see much of the fallout from WWE Wrestlepalooza where AJ Lee picked up the win in her first match in over ten years as she teamed up with CM Punk to defeat Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. That show also saw Brock Lesnar shockingly decimate John Cena in one of Cena’s final matches in the company.
