Joe Hendry caused a splash when he appeared in NXT and now it seems like he might not be done with WWE.

In recent weeks, TNA and WWE have forged a partnership that saw TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Title. Following that Grace had issued an open challenge for her championship at Against All Odds and it was Tatum Paxley who answered that call making her debut in TNA in the process.

NXT began with a huge battle royal with 23 stars in the ring before TNA’s Joe Hendry made his surprise entrance and told fans he was going to bring the NXT Title to TNA. Ethan Page then made his entrance and the match was on.

However, for Hendry, it did not last long as he was quickly eliminated by another TNA star and the man who defeated Hendry at Against All Odds, Frankie Kazarian. The fans chanted bullsh*t in response and it seems those in WWE were paying attention.

Joe Hendry Likely To Return To WWE

Fightful Select has reported Joe Hendry is expected to make more appearances in NXT in the future. NXT officials were said to be very happy with the reaction that Hendry received during his surprise debut on the brand. A TNA source was noted to be happy that Hendry’s storyline with Kazarian was continued on WWE TV but some had hoped Hendry would have a longer appearance after his quick elimination from the battle royal.

Joe Hendry was featured in a backstage video with Shawn Michaels where he noted he could turn up on any show at any time. The Scottish star has celebrated that the video WWE released of his entrance on NXT is the company’s most liked video since WrestleMania 40 – not bad for someone who doesn’t work there.

One TNA veteran has claimed Joe Hendry is hugely deserving of his WWE spotlight and fans will just have to keep saying his name to make sure he appears where they want to see him.
