WWE Planned Huge Faction To Implode Heading Into SummerSlam
SummerSlam is on the horizon in WWE, and it seems the company had major plans for one faction to collapse, leading to a huge match.
For the first time ever, SummerSlam will take place across two nights as the biggest party of the summer heads to MetLife Stadium on the 2nd and 3rd of August.
WWE fans already know that the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will challenge for world championship gold at SummerSlam, but it seems one planned match won’t be taking place.
Judgment Day Implosion Planned For WWE SummerSlam
Cory Hays of BodySlam.net reported that WWE had planned even more turmoil in the ongoing Judgment Day storyline, which would have led to a huge mixed tag team match taking place. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio were expected to pair up to face Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez.
Balor has been working to drive a wedge between Morgan and Mysterio in recent months, welcoming Perez into the group as part of his plans. However, a serious injury to Liv Morgan that will see her out of action for up to six months has apparently put these plans on hold.
Dominik Mysterio is also apparently injured, and his Intercontinental Title match with AJ Styles at Night of Champions has been pulled from the show.
